Three young men, who appeared to be inebriated, caused a nuisance on a bus. In rue André Vésale, the driver demanded that they leave the bus. When the driver wanted to turn the vehicle around, the three men stood in the middle of the road and stopped the bus. One of them then attacked the bus driver through the window with pepper spray. Following the assault, the three culprits fled the scene. Potential witnesses are asked to contact the police by calling 244 40 1000.
The police also report that a young person had their €800 shoes stolen by two muggers in Esch-sur-Alzette shortly after 10pm on Friday evening. The victim was forced to walk home barefoot.
Shortly after 4am, the inhabitants of a house surprised two burglars upon their return to their home in Merl. Both culprits were able to escape.
In Luxembourg City, the police managed to arrest a thief who had broken into several construction sites to steal tools on Friday evening.
Earlier that same day, a single-family house in Saeul was burgled.
