An individual attempting to break into a parked car on Rue Nicolas Angelsberg in Burden was caught by police after being spotted by a resident. While the suspect initially escaped the scene, he was caught soon after and brought into custody. An investigation has been launched regarding a possible link to other offences.

In Bereldange, a car was broken into on Cité Grand-Duc Jean on Saturday. The perpetrator smashed the rear window of the vehicle with a stone and stole items from the interior, including a leather backpack, cash and cigarettes.

On Sunday morning, another incident occurred in Bonnevoie, where police received reports of yet another car break-in, this time on Route de Thionville. Witnesses heard a loud bang and noticed a man with a backpack smashing open the back window of a vehicle. A police patrol was dispatched to the scene, where they caught the intruder not long afterwards.

Investigations have been opened into all three cases. For tips on preventing car theft, read here.
