Five people were injured in three separate road accidents across Luxembourg on Tuesday evening, while firefighters contained two blazes in Käerjeng and Helmsange on Wednesday morning.

The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) reported five injuries across three separate road accidents on Tuesday, alongside two fire incidents.

The first collision occurred at around 5.30pm on Route de Luxembourg in Steinfort, leaving one person injured. Emergency responders from Steinfort and Mamer, including the Emergency Medical Assistance Team (SAMU), attended the scene.

Two additional crashes – one in Diekirch at 8.30pm and another between Cruchten and Colmar-Berg at around 10pm – each resulted in two injuries. The Diekirch incident required intervention from Nordstad paramedics, while the latter accident drew responses from emergency teams in Nommern, Nordstad, and Larochette.

On Wednesday morning, firefighters tackled two blazes: a transformer fire in Käerjeng and a chimney fire in Helmsange.
