On Friday, 25 April, a reader contacted our colleagues from RTL.lu to report an unpleasant incident following her trip to Echternach Lake.
After returning from a walk, the woman discovered that her van, parked in the lakeside car park, was no longer on its wheels – instead, it rested on four stacks of bricks. Thieves had apparently removed all four rims and tyres, leaving the vehicle stranded.
Police confirmed that the theft was reported last Friday and that an official complaint was filed. Authorities have since launched an investigation into the incident.
So far, no other similar cases have been reported.
