The victim reported the theft, which happened at around 8 pm, to the police. Not long after, police officers found the suspect in the same neighbourhood. Upon the order of the public prosecutor's office, the man was arrested.
The police also reported the arrest of a man on Rue Victor Hugo in Esch-sur-Alzette on Tuesday evening. The man had previously been sentenced to prison, but had not shown for his sentence.
Officers took the man to the penitentiary centre in Schrassig.
