
Speaking to RTL on Wednesday morning, Turk says that in the current climate he would not recommend young adults to enter the industry.
The president calls for a revaluation of diplomas, with the master craftsman certificate being considered on the same level as a bachelor’s degree. Unfortunately, this is currently not the case.
Amelux on Monday also criticised the wage agreement for failing to counteract the root of the problem, which they believe to be the shortage of people in the sector.
“We have often contacted the education ministry and political parties. But they are not doing anything about this matter. We wish to have a constructive dialogue,” says Turk.
