
An altercation between a drunk man and a couple occurred on Avenue de la Liberté in the capital at 11.30 p.m. on Sunday. The aggressor threatened the couple with a knife and punched another bystander in the face, before eventually fleeing the scene. Police were able to stop the man in the Gare district soon after. Since he was still highly intoxicated, officers brought him to a nightly arrest cell.
An attempted burglary was reported in Helmdange at 1.40 a.m. on Sunday. Police managed to apprehend the presumed culprit, who is currently expecting to face an examining magistrate.
Another break-in took place on Rue de Bonnevoie in Luxembourg City at 1.00 a.m. on Monday. An unknown suspect broke the window of a bicycle store and stole a mountain-bike, which they used to escape in the direction of Gare. The thief was later described as 1.70 metres tall, wearing a red hoodie, a black jacket, and jeans.
Finally, a black Range Rover Sport was stolen from Rue de la Forêt in Cessange during the night from Sunday to Monday. The car had the licence plate RG7478.
