Moselle regionThe wine harvest has started in Luxembourg

RTL Today
Around 50 private winegrowers from Luxembourg set off to the vineyards this Monday morning to begin this year's harvest.

Auxerrois and Pinot Gris are the first grape varieties to be picked.

It is expected to be a good year for Luxembourgish wine.

“The sunshine over the last few weeks has done wonders for the grapes”, commented one winemaker.

The grape-pickers will have their work cut out for them across the vineyards of the Luxembourg Moselle, with the harvest lasting around a month before finishing around 11 October.
