The swimming pool's director sardonically congratulated the vandals and called upon them to contact him, otherwise he would file a police report. The post, which showed outdoor furniture taken apart and thrown onto the swimming pool covers, caused a significant amount of reactions amongst social media users, many being outraged by the events.

One person even suggested making the perpetrators work at the pool for free for a year as a punishment. The pool's director Jean-Claude Kemmer did not expect the surge of reactions and ultimately ended up deleting the post and filing a police report, without waiting for the deadline to pass.

To date, the perpetrators have not yet been identified, although the management of the pool has passed on the photographic evidence of the vandalism.
