Linking Boulaide with Esch-sur-SûreSuspension bridge to be installed above Upper Sûre Lake
A new suspension bridge may soon be installed above the Upper Sûre Lake, linking the towns of Boulaide and Esch-sur-Sûre.
In the mid 1950s, the national water reservoir split up the region in the northwest of Luxembourg. Now, it seems the towns might soon be reconnected thanks to a suspension bridge over the barrier lake, linking Boulaide with Esch-sur-Sûre.

The municipality of Boulaide has already completed all the necessary studies and drafted plans for the bridge.
Authorisation from the Ministry for the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development has yet to be given. It also remains to be determined if and how much the government might contribute to the project.
