Around 5.45am on Thursday, police were informed of a theft from a van stationed in the Peteschfeld residential area of Schieren.
The complainant was able to follow the suspect to Rue du Canal, but lost sight of him for a moment. A little later, they spotted the suspect again with another man as both were getting on a bus to Colmar-Berg, where they eventually got off again.
The two men were finally arrested on a local cycling track. A cap belonging to the victim was recovered from a shopping bag and the main suspect was arrested by order of the prosecutor’s office.
