PoliceSuspect arrested after car burglary in Luxembourg City

On Monday morning, police received reports of a car which had been broken into in the district of Weimerskirch.

The thief had smashed the rear window of a vehicle parked on Rue Munchen-Tesch in order to steal credit cards and cash from within.

Police obtained a description of the suspect and were quickly able to identify the perpetrator and take him into custody. When searching the suspect, officers found both the stolen items and tools used to break into the car.

The man was arrested by order of the public prosecutor’s office and appeared before a magistrate on Monday afternoon.
