A marked rise in temperatures is forecast for the coming days. Following several weeks of overcast conditions, sub-zero temperatures, and heavy rainfall, the sun finally appears ready to make a return.

According to Luxembourg’s metereological service MeteoLux, temperatures will be unusually high for the time of year, reaching up to 16°C on Wednesday and Thursday. The milder conditions will come as a welcome change, particularly if the sunshine holds. It may even tempt some to bring out their bikes or motorcycles again.

However, the improvement is expected to be short-lived, with rain forecast from Friday onwards. Saturday should see a break in the rain, although temperatures will drop to a cooler range of between 4°C and 11°C.
