Banks, insurance companies and lawyers' offices participated at the students meet businesses event. There currently prevails a high demand in lawyers in Luxembourg, particularly for financial law, according to the law students' association.
Luxembourgers who speak several languages are especially sought-after. Brexit, too, is a reason why there are currently so many job vacancies.
The economy students' association specifies that there are plenty of job openings in the financial sector, too, which is largely due to an improvement in the country's economy.
As part of the event, students were able to establish potentially important contacts and to prepare for future interviews. The Chamber of Commerce organised practice interviews, a 'round table' discussion and a workshop.
