Usually, if you enter into Crauthem via Peppange via the CR132, you will be met by a street sign that says Crauthem. However, recently the sign indicated that you are entering Bivange. Bivange is also a village within the commune of Roeser, but it is over one kilometer away from Crauthem.

Upon further inquiry, the commune of Roeser explained that the National Roads Administration are in charge of the signs and the error has been reported to them. The mistake was rectified on Monday.

Crauthem was not the only place affected – in Bivange, the correct sign was replaced with one for Filsdorf. The commune of Roeser says further mix-ups elsewhere cannot be ruled out. It is not yet clear whether this was an error or a prank.

The National Roads Administration has not responded to RTL’s request.
