On Friday, the special parliamentary committee for the Tripartite met and confirmed a bill for energy subsidies for businesses.

Companies requiring gas and electricity for production, such as industrial bakeries or the steel industry, will be eligible for up to 50 million euros in grants, available until the end of the year.

A second subsidy will be available for transport companies impacted by high diesel prices, up to 400,000 euros per company.

Overall, state support will amount to some 225 million euros of aid, to partially offset the high energy prices.
