The co-ownership had been decided on a while ago, when the state proposed the budget and drafted a bill to make up half of the ownership.
As of yet, it is not known which government agencies and ministries will move into the new 61,000-square-metre steel and glass building called K22, as was hoped to have been specified in the Finance Minister’s bill. However, it is certain that the government will be present on 15 floors of this project by Wilmotte&Associés.
The construction of K22 only started last year instead of 2021, as had originally been planned, so the inauguration is not expected before 2024. The final costs are projected to be at least half a billion euros.
