
During the first three months of the year, government revenue was 9.5% higher than during the same period in 2020.
Minister Gramegna underlined that it is important to draw the comparison at this stage, given that the ongoing pandemic first affected the Grand Duchy in March last year. This means that the increase in revenue is even more significant, as it contrasts to the time before lockdown.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Finance concludes that government finances are “clearly recovering”. Officials further highlight that the “balanced decisions in light of the pandemic” continue to allow the national economy to flourish.
