Chamber of DeputiesSpecial tripartite agreement commission to convene for first time on Monday

RTL Today
A special commission will convene in the Chamber of Deputies to vote on some of the unresolved points from the tripartite agreement.

15 MPs will monitor the legislative path of measures that government, employers’ representatives, and unions agreed upon during the tripartite meeting on 1 April this year.

Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, Minister of Finance Yuriko Backes, and Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot will present the package of measures.

Two of the proposed policies have already come into effect: the index cut, made on 1 April, as well as a tax reduction of 7.5 cents per litre on fuel until the end of July.

Today, MPs are expected to vote on further measures, including a freezing of rents until the end of the year and the introduction of an energy tax credit.
