Although the problem has existed since the 1970s, it is said to never have been as acute as it is right now. More than 2,000 employees have been lost since the beginning of the pandemic, estimates the HORESCA Federation.
On Monday, the National Employment Agency (ADEM) is organising a special job day dedicated solely to the hospitality sector. From 11am to 5pm, people can visit the Parc Hotel Alvisse in Dommeldange to meet with potential employers and learn more about available jobs.
About 40 businesses are expected to be represented at the job day.
