
In Sanem, residents at a house on Rue Guillaume Schmit called the police shortly after midnight on Friday morning to report suspicious activity. A police patrol later located a suspect on Rue de Niederkorn, who was found to be in possession of tools used for burglaries, and was unable to provide a valid excuse for his presence. The man was fined and the tools confiscated.
On Thursday afternoon a burglary took place at a house in Ellange between midday and 4.00pm. One or multiple suspects are thought to have gained access to a house on Route d’Erpeldange via the garden, before breaking a window in order to enter the residence. A number of valuable items were taken in the process.
In Bonnevoie another break-in occurred between 11.45am and 18.15pm on Rue Adolphe Omlor. The door to the residence showed signs of forced entry and a number of valuables were reported missing.
At 1.00am on Thursday morning, burglars attempted to gain access to a house on Rue des Vergers. However, the suspects fled after the resident switched on the building’s lights.
Finally, a number of construction containers were broken into at a building site on Boulevard de Kockelscheuer, Gasperich overnight. Thieves made off with a number of tools and machinery, as well as stealing a grey Renault Trafic van with the number plate EA9788.
Investigations are ongoing for all incidents listed.
