Two individuals were detained at Ettelbruck station on Friday evening after a police sniffer dog signalled their presence, leading to a subsequent arrest and a house search.

The operation occurred at around 7pm on Friday when police deployed a drug detection dog during a search at the station. The dog indicated two passers-by, who were then searched by officers.

According to a police statement released on Saturday, a small quantity of hashish was found on one individual, while the other was found with several pellets of hashish and a sum of cash.

A warrant was then executed at the home of the second individual. The search yielded an additional small quantity of hashish, a mobile phone, and drug paraphernalia.

Following the operation, the public prosecutor’s office ordered the arrest of this individual, who was brought before an examining magistrate on Saturday morning. The confiscated items, including the mobile phone, cash, narcotics, and paraphernalia, were seized as evidence.

The identity of the first individual was recorded, and they were released after standard police procedures were completed.
