
In Rodange at around 11.30am, a driver lost control of their car on rue de Lasauvage and crashed head-on into a tree. The motorist, who sustained serious injuries, had to be extricated from the vehicle. The road was closed to allow rescue teams, including the emergency medical service from Esch-sur-Alzette, as well as ambulances and firefighters from Pétange, to intervene.
Shortly before midday, a motorcyclist and a van collided on rue Neuve in Nocher. Firefighters from Gilsdorf and an ambulance team from Redange-sur-Attert were dispatched to the scene.
At approximately 2.30pm, a pedestrian was struck on Route d'Esch in Hollerich. Emergency responders from Luxembourg City attended to the individual involved.
A little later, a collision between two vehicles occurred near the motorway bridge between Capellen and Mamer. Three people were injured in the accident, with firefighters and two ambulances from Mamer attending to the casualties.
At around 3.15pm, another accident was reported between Syren and Contern, where a car and a motorcycle collided. One person was injured, and emergency services from Moutfort and Luxembourg City responded to the incident.
In addition to the road accidents, three separate fires were recorded during the day.
In Erpeldange-sur-Sûre, near Ettelbruck, an agricultural machine caught fire at around 11am on "An der Gewan" street. Firefighters from Angelsberg and Nordstad were called to extinguish the blaze.
Around 11.20am, smoke was detected in a building at Porte des Sciences in Esch-sur-Alzette. Fire crews and ambulance teams from Esch, along with staff from the Sadiff centre, were called to the scene.
Finally, at approximately 2.30pm, a vegetation fire broke out between Beaufort and Haller. Firefighters from Beaufort were able to quickly bring the situation under control.
No injuries were reported in any of the fire incidents.
