Six people were injured in five separate crashes across Luxembourg on Monday evening, with the rescue helicopter called to one accident in Asselborn.

Emergency services reported five accidents on Luxembourg's roads between 6pm and 9.30pm.

At 6pm, a motorist crashed on the N16 between Ellange-Gare and Remich. One person was injured.

Twenty minutes later, a more serious accident occurred on Op der Strooss in Asselborn. Only one vehicle was involved. In addition to firefighters and an ambulance, the rescue helicopter from Luxembourg Air Rescue was called to the scene. One person was injured.

Another 20 minutes later, an accident on Rue Principale in Lintgen left one person injured.

At 7.23pm, a car crashed on the N11 between Graulinster and Altrier. One person was also injured in this incident.

At around 9.30pm, two vehicles were involved in an accident on the A13 towards Pétange, between the Croix de Bettembourg junction and Bivange. Two people were injured.
