Alerting the population is an essential tool to equip citizens with the means to prepare for unforeseen events and take necessary precautions for the safety of both individuals and property.

As part of these safety checks, the functionality of the GouvAlert application was tested at a national level.

Meanwhile, text message alerts will no longer be despatched systematically on the first Monday of each month. After a recent adjustment, they are sent out on random days and the targeted municipalities are no longer disclosed in advance.

Recipients of these text messages can expect clear instructions, explicitly stating that no action is required on their part.
