The attackers fled the train at Esch station.
There were further altercations at the train station. Shots could later be heard at the Gaalgebierg, the animal park. Several patrols were deployed and officers found an alarm pistol and shell casings, all hidden in a trash can.
Police could localise the group of youths and questioned them on the spot. A search led to the seizure of an air soft gun at one of the homes of the teenagers.
The investigation continues into bodily harm and illegal weapon possession.
