
Upon the arrival of the police, the burglar was found to be in possession of a variety of stolen items.
The person was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office and presented to an examining magistrate on Tuesday afternoon. The burglar was subsequently taken into custody at the Ueschterhaff prison in Sanem.
On Monday at approximately 5.20pm, the police were notified of a vehicle break-in that occurred on rue d’Anvers in Luxembourg-City.
The perpetrator, who had stolen a backpack from the car and damaged both windows, was subsequently apprehended at the station after a pursuit. Following instructions from the public prosecutor’s office, a criminal complaint was lodged against the individual.
During the evening hours of Tuesday, multiple burglaries occurred in various locations within Luxembourg.
These incidents included a break-in at an apartment on rue Jean Schoetter in Luxembourg-Merl, thefts from cellars in several buildings situated on avenue du dix septembre in Luxembourg-Belair, and a burglary on rue des Girondins in Luxembourg-Hollerich.
In addition, various construction sites were targeted on rue du Centre in Ehlange, route d’Arlon in Bertrange, rue Anna Lindh in Mamer, and rue Hugo Gernsback in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
