On Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, the police pulled over multiple drink drivers in different locations.

In Rue Jean-Baptiste Gillardin in Pétange, an accident occurred on Tuesday evening when a driver lost control of her vehicle, colliding with a parked car. Subsequent alcohol testing yielded a positive result, leading to the immediate revocation of her driving licence.

At 5am on early Wednesday morning, another driver lost his driving licence for drink-driving in Rue du Gymnase in Diekirch. Prior to this incident, he had drawn attention for driving against the flow of traffic on a one-way street.

A similar case unfolded in Rue Alexis Heck, where a driver was also caught travelling in the wrong direction on a one-way street. In addition, he was not wearing his seatbelt properly and there were deficiencies in the lighting of his vehicle. Following a positive breathalyser test, his driving licence was also revoked.

At around 6.30am on Wednesday morning, in Rue de Belval in Belval, a driver was found driving in the wrong lane. His driving licence was confiscated after he was discovered to be inebriated.

Another case of drink-driving was reported in Esch-sur-Alzette on Wednesday morning. A driver was observed driving in serpentine lines along Boulevard John F. Kennedy and disregarding a red light. He was eventually intercepted in Rue Neudorf and, after testing positive for alcohol, had his driving licence taken away.
