Summertime adieuSeptember heralds the return of the cold

RTL Today
It is certainly no surprise that September signals the end of the summer, but it appears autumnal temperatures are making an appearance at the very beginning of the month.

The upcoming week will see temperatures slide downwards in Luxembourg as if to signal the end of the summer break. We had a last ditch heatwave last week, but the forecast does not look like this will be repeating itself just yet.

There may perhaps be an Indian summer in several weeks, but for now it is time to prepare for colder nights.

Monday's weather will be sunny with the occasional clouds and highs of 22°C. Come sunset, however, it will certainly get a bit nippy with lows of 8°C.

As if to acclimatise, both temperatures and the weather will follow suit until Wednesday before experiencing a drop.

As of Thursday, Meteolux has forecast a temperature drop starting at lows of 5°C in the morning and highs of 17°C in the afternoon. The sky will remain cloudy and rain is also forecast.
