The trial of a hostage-taking that lasted three days in December 2012 concluded on Wednesday at the prosecution's recommendation.

Early on Wednesday evening, the prosecutor's office recommended prison sentences ranging from 12 to 24 years for the four defendants on trial for the hostage case dating back to 2012.

Seven years ago, the defendants conspired to steal valuable watches, first assaulting the director of a trust at home. The two main defendants then brought jewellers to the company's premises in order to obtain the watches. Finally, they drove to Paris with a hostage.
