Since the outbreak of the ongoing crisis, RTL’s websites (RTL.lu, RTL 5 minutes, RTL Today) have recorded more than 23 million visits (23,006,117) and almost 130 million page views (129,708,203). RTL visits have more than doubled compared to February 2020 (225% increase) and almost tripled compared to March 2019. Regarding page views, the three websites have recorded a 185% increase from February to March 2020.
This figure was partly driven by the coronavirus livetickers on the three websites. There were more than 4,000 short ticker entries and 1,500 full articles about Covid-19.
