Around 6 pm, a cyclist was involved in a road accident in Pontpierre. Emergency services from Esch and Mondercange were called to the scene.
In a separate incident, a lorry caught fire in Esch-sur-Alzette on boulevard Charles de Gaulle shortly before 8.30 pm. Fire fighters from Sanem, Differdange, and Schifflange managed to keep the situation under control. Nobody was injured.
