Luxembourg City police responded to a shoplifting report at a Kirchberg shopping centre on Rue Alphonse Weicker Monday evening.
According to authorities, the suspect allegedly also assaulted store staff. A police patrol was immediately despatched to investigate.
The public prosecutor’s office was notified and, upon determining the suspect was a repeat offender, ordered their arrest.
The individual was taken into custody and appeared before an examining magistrate Tuesday morning.
