BGL BNP Parisbas announced on Thursday that it would close seven of its branches, which came in light of a similar decision taken by BCEE in March:

The union argues that banks also have a social responsibility they need to fulfil, which seems to be completely ignored by management.
The statement thus reminds the bank that the institution had been saved by tax-payer money not too long ago. Minister of Finance Pierre Gramegna is moreover criticised for failing to regulate both governmental banks BCEE and Post.
