Jean AsselbornRefugee children cannot be accommodated due to coronavirus restrictions

RTL Today
The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jean Asselborn, told Deutsche Welle that the coronavirus restrictions would impact young refugees across Europe, including Luxembourg.

The United Nations has been forced to halt refugee actions due to border closures caused by the restrictions. Many borders are shut or subjected to strict monitoring.

Earlier this year a number of EU member states announced their intentions to accommodate 1,500 refugee children without families. Luxembourg had agreed to host 10.
