In an interview with RTL, the Minister of Education said the phased plan put together three weeks ago by the Ministries of Health and Education would be reviewed. The plan initially did not foresee a necessary quarantine in isolated cases of the virus.

However, the Ministry of Health has now revised their view and believe a quarantine should be reinstated. Meisch said the situation would require further analysis.

At the Government Council on Wednesday morning, ministers unanimously voted against any unnecessary quarantines, added Meisch. With this in mind, school attendance should be assured where possible.

A number of solutions to the issue will be considered, according to the Minister, including mandatory masks.
