The trial against a man accused of stabbing his girlfriend in Remich in July 2018 continued this week.

The man stabbed his then-girlfriend with a knife after punching her. The defendant then stabbed himself after stabbing his victim, and required emergency surgery. Doctors rescued him from his life-threatening condition, after which he was brought to prison. The woman died of her injuries, leading the prosecutor to call for a 24-year prison sentence.

The ruling will be pronounced on 25 March.
