Following the vote of no confidence in Wiltz, a vote of no confidence was also passed against the mayoral council in Bech, this time by five votes to four.

The vote was supported by Emile Bohnenberger, Laurent Fisch, Gilles Kartheiser, Max Pesch, and Bibi Wintersdorf. Voting against it were mayor Jill Goeres, alderman Norbert Classen, alderwoman Nathalie Wohlfart, and councillor Nico Schmit.

However, a new mayoral council will not be elected until the beginning of next year. The budget had already been rejected with the same majority just under three weeks ago.

Bohnenberger had earlier left the former majority to join what was then the opposition. He explained his decision by arguing that the mayor had not fulfilled her role with the necessary seriousness and that he had not been sufficiently involved in the work of the mayoral council.

Goeres dismissed these criticisms and, in turn, accused Bohnenberger of having an issue with the fact that, as a young mother, she continued to engage in politics instead of devoting herself solely to childcare.
