The driver was found to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol. It also transpired that he was driving without valid insurance.
A search of the car, which held three occupants, revealed pepper spray and a knife under the driver's seat. The illegal items were confiscated and the vehicle immobilised further to checks.
Police drew up criminal charges against the driver and fined all three occupants for breaking curfew rules.
