Both men involved in the brawl were quite inebriated and had facial injuries. As the police officers checked both men's records for prior infractions, they noted that one of the involved parties had yet to pay a fine.
After both men were checked by a doctor, they were sent to sober up in the drunk tank. Once the man with the outstanding fine had sobered up, he revealed that he was unable to pay his fine. Consequently, his prison sentence entered effect and the police took the man to Schrassig penitentiary centre.
