The Fiat Talento van was driving between Heiderscheidgrund and Bockelsermillen on Thursday when a Fendt tractor scratched the van in passing, which caused the right hand wing-mirror to break off.
The van was planning to overtake the tractor, which for some reason drove onto the left hand side of the road during the overtaking manoeuvre, and scratched the van with a hay bale. The tractor drove off and the driver could not be located.
The Diekirch police station has requested that either the tractor driver or any witnesses contact the station.
