Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a fatal collision on the N15 road on Thursday afternoon.
The accident occurred at around 2pm at the junction with the N27 between Fond de Heiderscheid and Büderscheid, involving two cars. A 77-year-old woman driving one of the vehicles died at the scene. The driver of the other car sustained minor injuries.
Emergency teams from Wiltz and Nordstad attended the scene, along with an Air Rescue helicopter. The public prosecutor’s office has commissioned the forensic police to determine the cause of the accident. The road was temporarily closed for rescue, investigation, and clearing operations.
