A head-on collision involving two cars occurred at around 14.15 on the N15 between Heiderscheid and the slip road to the tunnel towards Esch-sur-Sûre has resulted in the death of a 77-year-old woman, who succombed to her injuries at the scene.
Another person was airlifted to hospital by Luxembourg Air Rescue.
Police indicated parts of the N15 were closed in both directions “until further notice” between Heiderscheid and the Esch-sur-Sûre tunnel, with drivers advised to avoid the area.
