Monday evening emergency services were called to Fingig at 11 pm to extinguish a fire that broke out on Rue Nicolas Margue.
In the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps bulletin, the fire was described as a small fire resulting from an electrical issue. The Bascharage fire brigade managed to extinguish the blaze quickly.
On Wednesday morning, the police reported that only the garage door had been damaged.
Initial examinations however could not allow the police to exclude the fire being a criminal act. Consequently, the police have launched an appeal for witnesses to identify any suspect individuals or vehicles noticed near the building between 10.30 pm and 11 pm.
