200 motorists checkedPolice revoke two licences during weekend drink-driving controls

RTL Today
On Friday evening and Saturday morning, the police carried out alcohol checks across Luxembourg City.

A total of 200 drivers were tested, of which 10 motorists were found to have consumed too much alcohol.

In two cases, the levels were so high that the drivers had to hand over their licences on the spot. One person was also caught driving without a valid licence, given they were already under a driving ban.

At around 3.30am on Saturday morning, the Ettelbruck police noticed a motorist swerving across lanes and nearly colliding with a parked vehicle. Upon inspection, officers discovered the man was over the legal alcohol limit. His driving licence was immediately confiscated.
