
When police stopped the man for speeding, he refused to take alcohol and drug tests. Since officers had reason to believe that the driver was intoxicated, they revoked his license and pressed charges.
Shortly after midnight, officers were alerted to a reckless driver on the A4 motorway. An alcohol test showed that the man was above the limit, and a subsequent investigation revealed that he actually had a driving ban. Charges were pressed.
At 1.30am, the police had to intervene because of another reckless driver, this time in Windhof. After a brief pursuit, the man was stopped in Rue de Steinfort. After a positive alcohol test, officers revoked the man's license.
Around 2.20am, another license was revoked for drink driving in Mersch.
At 3.20am, another incident took place in Windhof. The police were alerted to a group of youths causing a ruckus at a petrol station. Officers quickly determined that the driver of the group was above the permitted alcohol limit and revoked his license. Furthermore, a provisional ban was awarded.
In Schengen, certain areas and streets had to be closed off out of precaution due to the rising water levels of the Moselle. When officers checked to see if everyone had vacated the area, they found a man sleeping in his car. The subsequent alcohol test was positive and the license revoked. A driving ban was issued as well.
Shortly before 6am, a police patrol found another drink driver in Rue d'Audun in Esch-sur-Alzette. He drew their attention after taking the right of way. Officers tested the man for alcohol and revoked his license when the test came back positive.
