Boulevard J.F. Kennedy was closed at around 1pm for roughly 30 minutes as police secured the area, according to the Luxembourg Automobile Club (ACL). The road was completely blocked to traffic during the intervention but is now reported to be open again.

Early information suggests the suspected explosive may date back to WWII. Alongside the police, the army’s bomb disposal unit was also called to the scene.
