On Sunday morning, police received a report of a car swerving on the N15 between Heiderscheid and Feulen, repeatedly crossing into oncoming traffic. A patrol intercepted the vehicle shortly afterwards. The driver tested positive for alcohol and received a provisional driving ban.

During the night from Sunday to Monday, a police patrol spotted a vehicle in Pétange swerving erratically from Rue de l’Église towards Route de Luxembourg, with no lights on.

Officers signalled the driver to stop, but the individual continued at high speed, forcing police to give chase. Near Route de Longwy, the vehicle crashed into a parked car but continued to drive dangerously towards Rodange. It briefly stopped on the CR176, allowing officers to approach, but the driver suddenly accelerated again, running over an officer’s foot and injuring them. The pursuit ended in Rue de Lasauvage when the driver collided with another parked vehicle and finally came to a halt.

Checks revealed that the driver did not hold a valid driving licence. A drug screening test at the scene came back positive. A report was filed.

Separately, on Monday morning, police observed another car being driven dangerously on Rue de Bonnevoie in Luxembourg City. It was stopped shortly afterwards on Rue du Cimetière. The driver tested positive for alcohol and had their driving licence revoked on the spot.
