A police patrol witnessed a motorist cause a crash on the crossroads between Rue de Clausen, Montée de Clausen and Rue de Neudorf in Luxembourg City at around 2.15am. Unperturbed, the motorist drove away from the scene without stopping; however, the police caught up with her on Allée Pierre de Mansfeld, where it transpired the driver had had too much to drink. As a result, her licence was withdrawn.
Elsewhere, one person suffered injuries in a collision on the CR322 near Hosingen.
In Walferdange, material damage was reported following a chimney fire in Rue de l’Église.
The police also reported a series of break-ins in Dudelange, Cessange, Mamer and Cents.
