The police continue to carry out regular checks in Luxembourg in order to verify if the population is complying with the instructions imposed by the government in the struggle against the coronavirus pandemic.
About 20 checks per day took place last week. A dozen people were fined for failing to comply with health and safety regulations.
Once again, just under a dozen owners of restaurants or bars had to be called to order for the same reasons: they were not enforcing the obligation to wear face masks or they themselves were not complying with the new closing hours.
These infringements cost them at least €4,000 in fines with the transfer of the file to the competent authorities.
